The Cold War Weapons Turn to SALT
The Strategic Arms Limitation Talks or Treatys more commonly known as SALT I and SALT II were treaties that were signed between the United States and the Soviet Union in 1972 and 1979 respectively. The SALT treaties signified these two nations finally coming to a sensible agreement which actually reduced the number of nuclear and balistic missles that had been built over the years during the Cold War.
